In 1971, John L Jones, and his son John D. Jones purchased their first apartment building in Los Angeles. It was in horribly neglected condition, but they were undaunted. This father and son team worked tirelessly on the building themselves, and could be found up on ladders painting, or under a sink fixing a pipe. That was the beginning of a family success story, one based on improving neglected properties, improving the neighborhood, and providing residents with an outstanding value. John L. Jones and his daughter Peggy Jones later founded Jones & Jones Management Group, which has carried on this tradition ever since. With Peggy Jones acting as CEO, and known for her detail oriented focus and “hands on” approach, she carried out her father’s vision, expanding the company to 38 buildings, and over 2900 units, in Central Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, and East Ventura County.
Jones & Jones Management Group has always been a local company dedicated to making sure their properties meet their high standards, and the standards of their residents. Just as with the first building, the company still does almost all of its own repairs and maintenance and Peggy has a great vision for the future. This family owned business wouldn’t have it any other way.
